Shaun and Sharla Hansen is a married couple from Bluffdale, Utah.

        They work together at each step: from smithery to finishing. Their carved engraved folders and automatic art knives have been noted in some publications, exhibitions and throughout the globe as a result of the sale of their first knife in 1999. 

Shaun makes the newest patterns on damask and Sharla carves handles with such materials as white mother-of-pearl, fossil ivory and walrus bones after that the items transform into elegant collection knives.

        They won the prize “Best New Maker” in New York and “Jim Schmidt” award at an exhibition in Atlanta Blade Show to say nothing of their other achievements.

        They invented some engraving techniques and continues to improve their personal style and individual features in the works.
