It is said that the Sword is a mirror that faithfully reflects us, showing who we truly are. As a symbol of dedication, passion and truth it has the potential to reveal not only our virtues but also our ugliest traits. Thus, the sword conveys traditions and beliefs from the past but is also still relevant as an object of power today.

My work is based on four pillars: the direct documentation of historical swords, the principles of their design and function, the exploration of new possibilities for the craft, and the mythopoetic nature of the sword.

Although my swords employ the same dynamic properties and principles of geometric design that can be observed in original ancient weapons, I am interested in the time-less aspects of their form. I like to see them as objects of beauty and meaning that inspire contemplation and reflection.
