John Young started making knives in 1995. He is known throughout the custom knife world for his impeccable fit and finish and for using premier handle materials. Mentored by Steve Johnson (who is a world class maker who at one time worked as a Partner of Bob Loveless) Young’s work is influenced by the classic Bob Loveless design.  Besides making an assortment of classic Loveless and Johnson shapes, John has produced a number of interesting designs of his own with many more to come.

        His knack for creating a distinctive and beautiful blade puts him in world class company. Each knife made by John meets the exacting standard and superior workmanship of a master craftsman.
