• 08:00 AM EXHIBITOR SETUP doors open to exhibitors
• 09:00 AM REGISTRATION – collectors show packets are available
• 10:00 AM DOORS OPEN to collectors
• 10:00 AM INTENT TO PURCHASE PERIOD STARTS
• 1:00 PM BUYERS DRAWING BEGINS 15 minutes option each ticket
• 2:00 PM BID-UPS END (5 minute rule applies).
• 2:00 PM KNIFEMAKERS / COLLECTORS BUY, SELL & TRADE
• 2:15 PM BUSTER AWARD / SPEECH
• 6:00 PM SHOW CONCLUDES
Sales Terms
Drawing, Raffle at Fixed Price (10 AM until 1 PM)
Each artwork has a set fixed price.
- Collectors who wish to purchase submit a ballot with their collector ID and the corresponding artwork name into the ballot box.
- Once entry closes, names are drawn randomly. The selected collector gets the right to buy the piece at the fixed price.
- If the winner fails to complete purchase within 5 minutes, the next name will be drawn, and so on.
Open Bid, Live Auction (10 AM until 2 PM)
Bidding starts from the opening price. The highest bidder wins.
- Minimum bid increment: $100 per bid.
- Five-Minute Rule: If a bid is placed in the final 5 minutes before closing, the auction will automatically extend by 5 minutes. This repeats until no new bids are submitted.
Makers and Collectors Reception (2 PM until 6 PM)
AKI participating knife makers share the joy of collecting, trading and displaying AKI knives.
Important rule: Only knives made by AKI makers can be exhibited. A full list of former AKI member knife makers is on the catalog’s last page.
Other merchandise is permitted only upon show management’s approval.
And as always no unauthorized solicitations are allowed. Show management respectfully reserves the right to remove anyone from the showroom who disturbs the dignity of the show or does not respect the rules.
