        Fábio Barros has started in cutlery in 2015 as a self-taught artist.

        

        In this same year he first met Salão Paulista and fell in love for the knife’s world. He then went after for knowledge and made a course with his friend Leo Moraes. Since then, he has been dedicated to this career with devotion and he has received many awards, in Brazil and abroad.


        In 2022 in Atlanta (USA), he won the title of Journeyman Smith, awarded by the American Bladesmith Society and he was recognized as the best JS that year. 


        And at the same year, he won two awards at Blade Show: “Best New Maker” and “Best Handle Design”.

At Blade Show 2023 he won the awards of “Best Handle Design” for the second time and “Best Collaboration” with his friend Raul Sartor.


        In 2024 he participated the Master Smith test. A title that only three cutlers had in Brazil. Barros achieved the title with a presentation that was never seen. He won the “B.R. Hughes Award” for best knife submitted to the MS test and he also won the award Best Art Knife” at Blade Show 2024.


        His humble and simplicity are characteristics that defines him well. Barros is focused on his work, always looking for innovation. He likes challenges and he is always looking for knowledge. His biggest inspiration is his family to whom he always dedicates his awards and success.
